Polymer analysis has been the primary cornerstone of Jordi Labs operations since our founding in 1980. It is a complex area of laboratory research that intersects limitless industries and application areas due to the ubiquitous use of polymeric materials in markets today. Food and beverage packaging, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and a broad range of consumer products comprise polymers in one form or another including composites, adhesives, thermosetting plastics, rubbers, latexes, and increasingly complex polymer systems.
Laboratory analysis of polymers is commonly concerned with deformulating polymeric systems to characterize products in the greatest possible depth. There is no single method of analysis that can provide comprehensive data regarding each chemical—mechanical property of interest, however. Jordi Labs has subsequently developed a unique laboratory testing service that combines our years of experience and comprehensive understanding of polymer testing methodologies.
We routinely build bespoke polymer studies to determine the various monomer characteristics of polymer systems including composition and residual concentration. These are important qualities that can be difficult to determine without the requisite technology and analytical experience. Similarly: pigment determination; additive quantitation; antioxidant analysis; copolymer analysis; and crosslink density enormously contribute to end-product qualities, but these properties can only accurately be determined through advanced laboratory testing.
Jordi Labs was established to overcome challenges such as these, developing innovative studies to support research and development (R&D) and quality control (QC) for the broadest possible range of applications.
