Quantitative elemental analysis of a large, bulk samples in-situ at ppb levels!
NAA continues to be one of the most sensitive and accurate techniques for meeting industries need for the trace element analysis. Discrete sampling of elements occurs as the method focuses only on the atomic nuclei of a sample. The sample is bombarded with neutrons; this causes elements to form radioactive isotopes. Radioactive emissions and radioactive decay paths for each element are established. From this information, it is possible to determine concentrations of elements – down to the part per billion levels.
- Accurate results for large, bulk samples (tens of grams) without having to dissolve or digest the sample
- Part Per Billion (ppb) quantitative elemental analysis – up to 75 elements
- Complements other elemental analyses
