Electrozone Sensing Particle Size Analysis

Measure the size and count the number of particles

Electrozone sensing, also referred to as the Coulter Counter, is widely used to measure particles that are suspended in electrolyte solutions. When a particle passes through the aperture, the measurable disturbance in electric field is proportional to the volume of the particle. Since the signal originates from the displacement of electrolyte caused by the particle, the measurement of the particle is independent of any optical properties. Electrozone sensing is one of the most reliable laboratory methods for counting particles in the micron size range. It provides particles size as well as number and volume distribution information in high resolution.

Electrozone sensing is a robust and highly accurate particle sizing and counting method!

Independent of any optical properties including particle color, shape, composition or refractive index
Extremely sensitive and very reproducible
Has been applied to a wide variety of fields including blood cell counts, cell sizing and microparticle characterization
